ONE WAY TO TYLER STREET, BOSTON MA
Walking around the city is like well walking around a city so much to see so much to take in. Lights, sounds, smells and beauty. In some place there is beauty all around, but we are to busy to blinded by the hustle and bustle of all that city. Tall buildings helicopters. One way to truly embrace and enjoy the city for me anyway. Is to look for that small part of a scene that is worth saving is worth capturing and invoking thought. I do this with my camera. I use the lens and its narrow view to focus in on an area and close out the noise. I do this so well at times I might be walking in to traffic and not even realize it. It could be a bad thing.
ABOUT THIS PHOTO: Walking around "China Town" in Boston , Ma with my son one day. We had parked the car and walked and walked. I think we walked every street back and forth in China Town. We had some food at a small local spot. We visited a few of the shops. This photo I thought was very busy. The windows in the background reflecting the other buildings. The signs shouting orders and giving directions. The side of the streets were full of parked cars. People were moving about in and out of buildings, cars and walk ways. I had my photo and we moved on. I only wish I knew what the little flag says. It is a poster or advert for the the China Town Tourism fund. The next time you are in a city stop and look up. You just might find something you never saw before.

SUMMER IS NOT TO FAR OFF
PHOTO OF THE DAY : SUMMER IS NOT TO FAR OFF
This was the longest winter of my life. I feel like it will never end. It was cold snowy and cold, did I say cold yet? The month of February was the coldest I can remember. It was a long sub zero month with weeks of close to if not below zero temperatures. Then we had snow. Lots of snow. Every few days we had a storm. Some storms had very little snow but had huge wind gusts. Some of other storms dumped 2 plus feet of snow. Now I know that living in New Hampshire we have winter. It is one of the reasons we do live here. We get 4 seasons. This winter seems like two. So when will summer come? Any day now I am sure. As I write this post it is 35 degrees (cold) and we still have much of the ground covered with snow with huge snow banks in our drive way.
As the snow slowly melts days of hot summer sunsets are closing in. Black flies and singing birds are just around the corner. One more thing that summer brings to the New Hampshire area, gardens and fruit trees. We live on a 34 acer plot of land that is family owned. We own a 2 acre plot on this space. On our land we have a garden and some wild berries. We have blueberries, strawberries and then we have blackberries. The blackberries started as a few small bushes that did not yield much fruit. We cut them back a bit one year and the next year they came back with even more fruit and more growth. I am not sure if it was birds or some other wild animals that did it, but the berries spread to another part of the property and have come back larger and in higher quantities each year there after.
ABOUT THIS PHOTO: In the summer I love to walk around in the yard and woods looking for a way to create more nature photos. It is not the same as photographing a wedding yet it is very rewarding to capture photos like this one. This is the type of picture you need to hunt for. It is not so noticeable at first glance. Once you get down on one knee and look around you will see the light. The light that makes even the smallest of things so beautiful. This is a photo from right before the berries are ripe for eating. The light was just hitting the berries at the right angle. In a few quick snaps the light had moved and this shot was gone. But I got it and here it is.
